  Tonight was my first visit since the restaurant underwent a recent change in management and I think they've definitely progressed. It was good before, but they really stand apart now. I'm from Birmingham, so I'm pretty spoiled on great food spots, but this place is a real treat. On the (very sweet) cashier's recommendation, I had a buffalo chicken flatbread topped with crispy fried onions. It was unexpectedly well made, well prepared and beautifully presented for what could have been (and usually is, anywhere else) a very basic, uninspiring pub offering. I ate every bite and "helped" my mother with her chicken salad mini croissant and chili, both of which were clearly house-made and delicious. Our friends' meals across the table- a gyro and a grilled cheese/soup combo- also looked looked to be really high quality dishes. The coffee and tea selection was surprisingly diverse and sophisticated. If it hadn't been so latte in the evening, I'd have loved to try a coffee. (see what I did there? lol)
  Hamilton, I urge you to patronize this business and not take it for granted. You've got a real gem in this cafe.

  Tollgate is an one of a kind restaurant. It's been under new management since March 2016, so there has been a few changes from the previous management, but overall, it has kept its namesake through the seasons. As of now, its signature dishes are Southern Fried Chicken Teriyaki, Santa Fe Salad, Tollgate Salad, The Duke Burger and The Washington Burger. The employees do their best to be friendly and helpful! It has a laid back, chill cafe atmosphere. Also, it has recently started the coffee portion of the restaurant, which offers pour overs, cold brew, ice coffee and lattes! Overall, whether your on your lunch break, study break, or road trip break, Tollgate is the place to go!
